SCHILLACI sentenced to 20 to 50 years in NH State Prison
Brentwood - County Attorney Jim Reams announced today that the N.H. Superior Court Judge Tina Nadeau sentenced Jon Savarino Schillaci (DOB 12/14/71), formerly of Rosharon, Texas, to 20 to 50 years at the NH State Prison for possession of Child Pornography and Felonious Sexual Assault. This case began in October of 1999 when Schillaci was investigated by the Deerfield Police Department. Schillaci fled New Hampshire and eluded police for almost 10 years. In October or 2007, Schillaci was placed upon the FBI 10 Most Wanted List. In June of 2008, Schillaci was located and expelled from Mexico where he was taken into custody by the FBI and returned to New Hampshire for trial.
“Schillaci will be close to collecting Social Security when eligible for release if he behaves himself in prison. If he fails to behave, he will spend the rest of his life in prison. In the meantime, the parents of America do not have to worry about the whereabouts of Schillaci. I would have asked for an even longer sentence but Schillaci provided information to law enforcement that lead to the rescue of children around the country that were being abused.”, said Reams.
