CLARENCE SANDERS SENTENCED TO 25 YEARS TO LIFE IN NH STATE PRISON

Brentwood -        County Attorney Jim Reams announced today that the N.H. Superior Court Judge Kenneth McHugh sentenced Clarence Sanders (DOB 2/25/64) formerly of 9 Epping Street, Raymond to 5 to 10 years at NH State Prison for the First Degree Assault on the son followed by 20 years to Life at the NH State Prison for the Attempted Murder of the mother by slitting her throat.

Sanders attacked the woman and her son in Raymond on May 14, 2006 and fled the state.  He was arrested a few days later in West Virginia and has been held in jail ever since then.

"While the wheels of justice can "grind slowly" at times, I am glad that this defendant is finally at the NH State Prison for the foreseeable future. This is one of the most horrific attacks I have seen as County Attorney.  The victims can now pick up the pieces of their lives and move forward", said Reams
