Defendant Pleads Guilty to Theft at Bursaw Pantry

 

Brentwood -  County Attorney Jim Reams announced today that Carrie G. Phillips of 203 Lafayette Road, North Hampton (DOB 10/29/74) plead guilty to Theft by Unauthorized Taking and received a sentence of twelve (12) months at the Rockingham County House of Corrections, with three (3) months to be served stand committed, the remainder suspended for a period of five (5) years. She was placed on probation for a period of five (5) years upon release from the House of Corrections.  While on probation, the defendant shall pay restitution to Bursaw's Pantry.  The defendant was also ordered to obtain counseling and tour the New Hampshire State Prison while on probation. The final restitution figure shall be determined at a later hearing.

Phillips was a former employee of Bursaw's Pantry and stole Lottery Tickets from the Pantry during the first 10 months of 2005 when it was discovered and reported to the police department.
