Mendola Conviction Upheld

Brentwood - County Attorney Jim Reams announced today that the N.H. Supreme Court upheld the conviction of Katherine R. Mendola, (DOB 3/17/80) of 53A Oak Hill Road, New Ipswich, NH of Solicitation to Murder when she hired a “hit man” to kill a another woman. The “hit man” was an undercover State Trooper who had been tipped off that Mendola was looking for a “hit man”.  The entire transaction was videotaped by the State Trooper.

Mendola was sentenced to serve 10 to 20 years at the NH State Prison.

The NH Supreme Court rejected the defendant’s claims of error by Judge Tina Nadeau in evidentiary rulings and jury instructions.

“The victim can sleep assured that she knows Katherine is going to remain at the NH State Prison for quite a while. I hope that provides some relief”, said Reams.
