Antonio F. Medeiros, Jr. sentenced to 6 to 12 years at NHSP

for attacking “Good Samaritian”

Brentwood - County Attorney Jim Reams announced today that N.H. Superior Court Judge John Lewis sentenced Antonio F. Medeiros, Jr. of 34 Maple Avenue, Newton for 1^st Degree Assault  and Simple Assault against 2 individuals. 

On August 25, 2008, when Brian Clifford saw Medeiros beating his girlfriend, he rushed to her assistance.  The female was able to flee the Defendant, but Clifford was stabbed in the chest by the defendant.  Medeiros was sentenced to 6-12 years at NH State Prison for stabbing Clifford and 12 months concurrent in the House of Corrections for assaulting his girlfriend.
