Eaton sentenced to 20-40 years on numerous counts of sexual assault

Brentwood - County Attorney Jim Reams announced today that a Rockingham County Judge Diane Nicolosi has sentenced Peter Eaton, (DOB 6/2/75) of LKA 125 Route 27, Raymond, NH to 20 to 40 years in the NH State Prison.  Eaton was convicted on November 5th, 2009 on two counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, two counts of Felonious Sexual Assault and one count of Indecent Exposure.  The above charges stem from incidents that occurred in Raymond while the defendant lived with the victim’s mother.   The juvenile victim in this case was 5 at the time the assaults started in December of 2003 and continued through June of 2005. 

The defendant’s sentence will be imposed consecutive to the 4 to 8 year sentence he is currently serving for 2^nd degree assault on the victim’s brother in May of 2005.

“This is an appropriate sentence for the horrendous abuse that this little girl endured at the hands of the defendant. Given his prior conviction for sexually assaulting another young girl, children are safer when he is locked up”, said Reams.
