Former Doctor Putnam Breed sentenced to jail
Brentwood - County Attorney Jim Reams announced today that Judge Tina Nadeau sentenced former doctor Putnam Breed to serve 12 months in the House of Correction, with 6 months suspended, for his part in the Bayview scandal. On January 16th, Breed was found guilty on nine counts of fraudulent handling of recordable writing, three counts of theft by deception and one count of theft by unauthorized taking. The Class B felonies are each punishable by a 3½ to 7 year prison sentence.
Derek Wallace, the sole remaining Defendant in the Bayview Crematory case, is currently scheduled to go to trial in September.
